Rallies held in Islamabad, AJK cities to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day
Islamabad: Rallies and other events were organized in Islamabad and different cities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, today, to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a rally, organized by Kashmir Liberation Cell in Islamabad, was led by All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter General Secretary Sheikh Abdul Mateen, in which, besides the office-holders of the Kashmir Liberation Council, a large number of people, including APHC-AJK leaders Chaudhry Shaheen, Zahid Ashraf, Manzoor Ahmed Dar and Mushtaq Ahmed Butt participated
Before the rally, a signature campaign against Indian occupation was launched under the banner of the Kashmir Liberation Council.
Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir also organized a solidarity rally, today, in the capital Muzaffarabad. A large number of people participated in the rally held at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk, Muzaffarabad.
The rally was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Shaukat Javed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Qari Maqbool. Rahman, Hamza Shaheen, Ismail Jagwal, Chaudhry Muhammad Mushtaq and others.
A chain of human hands was made at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk to express solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The participants of the rally carried banners and flags.
Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement organized Kashmir Solidarity Day rally at Mirpur Mangala bridge. The rally was led by senior leaders Zaheer Jaral, Ijaz Mir and Khawaja Ayaz Wali Muhammad. The participants of the rally raised slogans like “We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours”.
The participants of the rally raised loud slogans like “We will take our rights and freedom from India” and “We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours”.
On the other hand, a discussion was organized today on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day under the auspices of Kashmir Journalists Forum.
Former director of Kashmir Liberation Commission Sarwar Hussain Gilgiti, Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone, Deputy Director of Kashmir Liberation Cell Sardar Najeeb Al-Ghafoor, KJF President Khawar Nawaz Raja, General Secretary Aqeel. Anjum, Senior Vice President Majid Afsar, Deputy Secretary Abid Hashmi, Finance Secretary Ijaz Khan, Information Secretary Iqbal Awan, AR Sagar, Sheikh Zaheer and other members attended the discussion.
The speakers of the discussion said finding a serious solution to the Kashmir dispute is the need of the hour. They said despite the Indian atrocities, the Kashmiri people are struggling for their right to self-determination and the freedom movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
They said Pakistan is the advocate of Kashmiris and has always continued its political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris.
