Speakers pay tributes to Qazi Abdul Wahid on his anniversary
Rawalpindi: A seminar, under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement, was organized at Rawalpindi Art Council, today, to pay tribute to the founder of the party and former APHC leader Qazi Abdul Wahid on his third death anniversary
According to Kashmir Media Service, the ceremony was held under the chairmanship of senior Hurriyat leader and APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar. Hurriyat leaders Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Imtiaz Wani, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Zafar Mahmood Jaral, Ayaz Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Mubasher, Qazi Imran and Haji Aftab Arif addressed on the occasion.
On the occasion, tributes were also paid to the freedom-loving leader Muhammad Riaz, known as Abu Qasim Shaheed, who was martyred by Indian terrorism in Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir, on 8th October 2023.
Representatives of refugees, residing in Azad Kashmir’s Kotli, Mirpur, Bagh, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and Hurriyat leaders, including Khawaja Ayaz, Mirza Zafar, Mirza Riaz, Shabbir Ahmad Chechi, Chaudhry Mukhtar, Imtiaz Butt, Mirza Zaheer, Ejaz Mir, Chaudhry Imran, Aftab Arif, Sardar Mubeen, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Chaudhry Jahangir, Khalid Shabbir, Abdul Majeed and Imtiaz also participated in the ceremony.
The speakers in their speeches paid tribute to the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir, including Qazi Abdul Wahid, for their contribution in the freedom movement and said that they would continue the mission of their leaders till complete success.
