Mushaal urges world to take notice of Kashmir women’s plight by India

Muzaffarabad, March 08 (KMS): Former special assistant to prime minister on human rights and women empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has urged the world to take notice of Kashmir women’s plight by India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushaal Hussein Mullick speaking at a seminar in Muzaffarabad paid glowing tribute to the brave Kashmiri women who are not only facing Indian state terrorism with courage but also playing a leading role in the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement.

She said the World Women Day was marked across the globe but the women were being treated like sub-human in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which was deplorable and condemnable.

However, she voiced grave concerns over the plight of women in the occupied valley because the brutal and inhuman Indian forces were using women rape as weapon of war to defuse the flames of just struggle for right to self-determination.

Mushaal, who is also wife of senior unlawful incarcerated Kashmir leader Yasin Malik, stated that the Narendra Modi fascist Indian government converted the scenic valley into a hell for Kashmiri women because neither their honour nor life were secured.

She demanded that the world powers, UN bodies and human rights organisations should not only focus on women rights of western countries but they should also pay attention to the inhuman treatment of women of Kashmir and Palestine as well.

The Hurriyat leader said that the Indian regime was involved in heinous war crimes against women in IOJK, adding that Kashmiri women were the most oppressed section of the society.

She called upon the international community, especially the world human rights institutions and UN bodies to hold India accountable for committing war crimes against women in IIOJK.
