IIOJK HC quashes detention under PSA of four Kashmiris
Srinagar: The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has quashed detention orders under the black law Public Safety Act (PSA) of four innocent Kashmiris.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the High Court citing insufficient consideration by the detaining authority ordered immediate release of Ashiq Hussain Sheikh from Bhaderwah Doda, Yawar Ahmad Bhat from Pulwama, Sageer Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad Sheikh from Srinagar.
The court observed that the detaining authority failed to provide compelling justifications for the detentions. It noted that the detaining authority’s failure to supply all relied-upon material rendered the detention orders illegal.
