JKLF pays tribute to martyrs, vows to carry forward freedom struggle

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmiri martyrs, including Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Dr. Abdul Ahad Gooru, Jalil Andrabi Advocate, Shabbir Siddiqui and Basharat Raza, along with the martyrs of Hazratbal on their martyrdom anniversaries of in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, in a press release from the Central Information Office, the JKLF hailed martyrs as the Kashmiri people’s cherished assets and the beacon of their struggle for freedom. The party emphasized the significance of their sacrifices in the ongoing fight for freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

JKLF central leader Raja Haq Nawaz Khan highlighted the exceptional contributions of these martyrs to the freedom movement. He specifically honored the courage and vision of Ashfaq Majeed Wani, who attained martyrdom on March 30, 1990, in pursuit of his ideals.

The release also recounted the tragic fate of Dr. Abdul Ahad Gooru and Advocate Jalil Ahmed Andrabi, who were targeted for their outspoken advocacy against human rights violations. Despite their untimely demise, their ideals continue to inspire the movement for justice and liberty.

Furthermore, the JKLF paid tribute to Syed Shabbir Ahmad Siddiqui, a revered Islamic scholar, and Commander Basharat Raza, both of whom fell victim to Indian forces’ aggression during the siege of Hazratbal Shrine.

Instructing party members to organize prayer ceremonies on March 30, Raja Haq Nawaz Khan urged for a renewed commitment to the martyrs’ cause. The press release also condemned Indian state terrorism in the territory and expressed solidarity with all pro-freedom prisoners, including the incarcerated party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
