Kashmiris’ sacrifices won’t go in vain, Shabbir Shah affirms in Eid message
Srinagar: Incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has urged well-off individuals to assist the poor, needy, and orphans during Eid ul Fitr. He also called for austerity and simplicity in observing the holiday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a message from New Delhi’s Tihar jail, Shah extended his greetings to Muslims worldwide, particularly those affected by conflict and violence in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine and elsewhere in the world. He prayed to Allah to alleviate their suffering and grant them freedom and peace.

Meanwhile, APHC leaders, Syed Agha Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi and Farida Behanji, in their statements in Srinagar while congratulating the Muslim Ummah on Eid-ul-Fitr, appealed to people to remember the oppressed Kashmiri and Palestinian Muslims, who are victims of Indian and Israeli terrorism, on this auspicious occasion. They maintained that the Kashmiris and Palestinians are going through almost the same serious situations, adding people in both the regions are facing threat to their identity and survival.
