Residents and businesses left in the dark as IIOJK grapples with worsening electricity crisis
Srinagar: The power situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir has deteriorated further, exacerbating the challenges faced by residents and the business community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, widespread criticism has been directed towards the occupation authorities for their handling of the crisis, as unscheduled and prolonged power cuts disrupt daily life in the Valley. Residents report enduring hours-long outages, significantly impacting their daily routines.
A senior government official, speaking to the media anonymously, cited insufficient power purchases from outside generators as a primary cause of the crisis, indicating that Mod-led Indian regime is deliberately creating the power crisis to impact the economy and other sectors negatively in the territory.
Residents and businesses alike are feeling the strain, with frustration mounting over unreliable power supply. Residents like Javid Ahmad lament the reality of receiving only a few hours of power daily.
The business community has suffered significant losses due to the power shortages, with shopkeepers and entrepreneurs forced to rely on costly generators to sustain operations. Without a consistent and stable power supply, the viability of businesses hangs precariously in the balance.
