Modi govt’s claim of transparent election in India is false: Report
New Delhi: The seven-phase general elections have started in India, but these elections will be the most controversial elections in the history of India, the so-called world’s largest democracy.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi government is using every tactic to suppress political leaders, journalists, social activists and rivals to win the general elections.
The extremist Hindu party, Bharatiya Janata Party has destroyed the state structure by gaining complete control over India. Lust for power has blinded Modi and he is busy crushing the opponents by adopting illegal and illegitimate tactics. From Indian institutions to political opponents, the film industry and educational institutions are victims of Modi’s government.
The reason is that people belonging to all schools of thought living in India are on the target of Modi. In order to win the general elections of India, Modi’s tactics include crushing the opponents, arresting political opponents and raiding their homes, hate speech against Muslims, incitement of religious sentiments, using media in their favour and funding election campaigns through corruption to win elections.
Through various illegal activities, the Modi government made the elections controversial. Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, New Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on false charges of corruption, while the rest of the party leaders are already in custody in various cases. And the Central Bureau of Investigation is raiding the houses of opposition party leaders.
According to an Al Jazeera report, the Modi government is using every tactic to win the election. It is using social media illegally to mislead the Indian people. The resignation of Election Commissioner Arun Goyal before the elections and the appointment of retired bureaucrats Gayansh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sindhu as Election Commissioners in the middle of the controversial election process is a question mark on the credibility of the BJP.
