Rahul demands Modi’s apology for sharing stage with ‘mass rapist’
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding an apology for sharing a stage with a ‘mass rapist’ who is a Lok Sabha member.
According to Kashmir Media Service, sSpeaking at an election rally in Shivamogga city, Karnataka, Gandhi accused Modi of insulting the women of India by endorsing Prajwal Revanna, a Lok Sabha member accused of sexual exploitation.
Gandhi asserted that Modi, along with Home Minister Amit Shah and other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, should apologize to the women of India for their association with Revanna. He highlighted the international attention garnered by Modi’s support for Revanna and criticized BJP’s alleged awareness of the accusations against him.
Furthermore, Gandhi condemned BJP’s alliance strategies, accusing them of compromising principles for power. He reiterated the demand for an apology from Modi, referencing BJP national president J.P. Nadda’s controversial remarks about the Constitution, calling for Nadda’s resignation and Modi’s response to the issue.
The rally, attended by prominent Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, marked Gandhi’s strong stance against what he perceives as a disregard for women’s rights and constitutional values within the BJP leadership.
