One of five injured Indian soldiers in Poonch attack dies
Jammu: One of the five Indian army personnel, who were injured after unknown armed men opened fire on two vehicles, including one belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF), in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, yesterday, succumbed to his injuries.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said the attack took place near Shashidhar on Saturday evening when the vehicles were moving towards Sanai Top in Surankote area of the district.
Five soldiers were injured and the condition of two was critical. They all were airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur for further treatment, officials said.
The local Rashtriya Rifles unit started cordon and search operations in the area, officials said.
