Srinagar: Indian police arrested a civilian in Sopore township of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrested civilian identified as Ahsanul Haq is a resident of Nowpora Kalan, Sopore in Baramulla district.

In order to justify the unlawful arrest, the police dubbed Haq an over ground worker (OGW) of a pro-freedom organization. He was booked under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

Haq has been lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
