Modi regime confiscating Kashmiris’ properties, natural resources: APHC-AJK

Islamabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch of All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Indian Hindutva occupation regime led by the Bharatiya Janata Party is confiscating properties and natural resources of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on one pretext or another.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad remarked that the situation in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has become extremely grave particularly after the illegal actions of the Modi government on August 5, 2019. He emphasized that the resistance of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation cannot be suppressed. Saghar highlighted India’s continuous violation of the United Nations Charter and Security Council resolutions, including the inalienable right of Kashmiris to self-determination and the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting thanked Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for his unwavering support to the just struggle of Kashmiris.

The leaders underscored India’s intent to carry out genocide of Kashmiris and alter the demographic composition of the occupied territory. Despite India’s atrocities, Kashmiris remain resilient and committed to their righteous cause. The Hurriyat leaders called upon international human rights organizations to take notice of the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the occupied territory. They urged the United Nations to exert pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with resolutions passed by the international body.

During the meeting, homage was paid to the martyred commander Shaheed Riaz Ahmad Naikoo on his martyrdom day, as well as to the martyrs of Kashmir and Palestine.
