Indian troops arrest youth during CASO in Kupwara
Srinagar: Indian troops on Thursday arrested a Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth was arrested during a cordon and search operation jointly launched by the Indian army and police in the Lone Harie area of Kupwara district.
The detained youth has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone.
It is worth mentioning here that India has stepped up raids and search operations in the name of security measures for the sham Lok Sabha elections in the disputed territory.
Polling is scheduled on May 20 in Kupwara district, which is part of the Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency.
A case has been registered against the detained youth, police officials said.
