Mirwaiz pays tribute to martyred leaders, vows to continue fight for freedom through dialogue
Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmiri figures Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Khwaja Abdul Ghani Lone on their martyrdom anniversaries.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar stressed the need for remembering the martyred heroes and vowed to carry forward their legacy. He highlighted the ongoing struggle for self-determination. He said peaceful dialogue is the only path to lasting peace and stability in the territory.
The APHC leader expressed concern over the continued arrests, detentions, and house arrest of political leaders, activists, and youth. He urged authorities to release all political prisoners and engage in meaningful dialogue for a peaceful resolution.
