Notorious VDGs to get modern weapons, upgraded remuneration
Srinagar: In a significant boost to the dreaded Village Defence Guards (VDGs), the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs and the local authorities have decided to upgrade their weapons and remuneration to better equip them against the civilian population in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the VDGs will be equipped with Self Loading Rifles (SLRs) to replace their obsolete .303 weapons, and their honorarium will be increased to Rs 4500 for Group leaders and Rs 4000 for others.
This aims at enabling the killer gang to effectively carry out their terrorist activities against civilian population, especially in border areas in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
This move comes in recognition of the VDGs’ anti-human activities in the occupied territory under the Modi regime.
