India cannot weaken freedom spirit of Kashmiris by desecrating religious places: Safi
Islamabad: The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has said that India cannot weaken the freedom spirit of the Kashmiri people by desecrating religious places, rather it will give them more strength.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Mohammad Safi in a statement in Islamabad strongly condemned the desecration of the mosque and the attempt to demolish it in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said India is following a heinous plan to change the population ratio in the area under the guise of encroachment.
He said the Hurriyat Conference considers the martyrdom of the mosque as an interference in the religion which cannot be accepted under any circumstances. He said that every fair-minded person would call the brutal violence against the people protesting against this incident as open Indian state terrorism.
Ghulam Mohammad Safi said the inhuman behaviour of the Indian forces reflects their moral bankruptcy. He said targeting the religious and cultural identity of the people of the occupied region is a clear violation of international law and basic human rights. He said India cannot weaken the determination of Kashmiris by brutal use of force and targeting religious places.
