Tara Chand slams Modi regime for disenfranchising Kashmiris, violating democratic rights

Jammu: In a scathing indictment of the Modi regime, former puppet Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand lambasted New Delhi for systematically disenfranchising the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, denying them their fundamental political and democratic rights, and leaving them feeling betrayed, divided, and stripped of their dignity and basic human rights.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a large public gathering in Chhamb Mandrian area of Jammu, Chand stated that the people are disillusioned with the ruling BJP’s anti-poor and anti-common people policies.

Chand criticized the authorities for undermining the constitutional and political rights of IIOJK people, depriving them of their democratic right to elect their representatives. He emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel cheated, divided, and deprived of their rights and dignity.

The former puppet DyCM also slammed the government for failing to address issues like daily wagers, need-based workers, and smart meter installations, which have led to hefty power bills. He demanded affordable electricity rates and relief for the people.

Senior vice president Balwan Singh and Adv MK also spoke at the event, condemning the ruling party’s broken promises and threats to the nation’s democracy and freedom. Senior leader Bhagat Bhushan Dogra also addressed the gathering.
