APHC-AJK leaders condemn India’s military buildup in IIOJK
Islamabad, July 29 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned India’s increasing military presence in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a desperate attempt to prolong its illegal rule over the territory.
In separate statements, APHC-AJK leaders Imtiaz Wani and Zahid Ashraf said that India has converted the occupied territory into a military garrison, akin to Israel’s tactics, and allocating lands to Indian soldiers in various areas of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
They criticized India’s efforts to change the demography of Kashmir by issuing domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris, stating that such actions would not weaken the freedom spirit of the Kashmiri people.
Despite the deployment of over one million Indian troops, the leaders asserted that India has failed to suppress the Kashmiri freedom movement, which will continue until its logical conclusion.
The APHC-AJK leaders emphasized that Kashmiris will not accept anything less than freedom from Indian rule, given the unprecedented sacrifices made for the Kashmir cause.
They urged the international community to play a role in resolving the long-pending Kashmir dispute, in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, to ensure permanent peace in South Asia.
