Mirwaiz urges parents to ensure their children receive religious, moral education
Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called upon parents to ensure their children receive a comprehensive religious and moral education by enrolling them in Darsgah/Maktabs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing the annual event at the Maseeh-Ul-Ummah in Chandapura, Srinagar, emphasized the critical role these institutions play in instilling strong ethical values and a deep understanding of religious principles in young minds.
Highlighting the importance of inclusivity, he pointed out that special darsgah have been made for girl students, providing them with a supportive and safe learning environment.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of reading the Quran’s translation in the mother tongue-Kashmiri language to deepen their understanding of religious teachings and to make the holy text more accessible and understanding to the local population. He encourages parents to take advantage of these resources to foster the moral and spiritual growth of their children.
