Kashmiri youth booked under black law in Rajouri
Jammu: A youth from Indian illegallyoccupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district was booked under the draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), for his pro-freedom activities, which are recognized under the UN-acknowledged right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohammad Aslam, from Khoriwali-Darhal village, was detained on the orders of the district magistrate and lodged in district jail.
Police said Aslam was previously named in a case registered at Thanamandi police station in 2012 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Aslam continued to engage in pro-freedom activities that police describe as unlawful, “posing a serious threat to peace and order”.
A detailed dossier was prepared by the district police office in Rajouri and submitted to the district magistrate, leading to his detention under PSA.
The police action is part of a broader policy of the Indian government to implicate Kashmiri youth in fake cases and detain them for an indefinite period without trial.
