APHC-AJK pays tributes to Sheikh Aziz on his martyrdom anniversary
Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter and Kashmir Liberation Cell organized a seminar at Kashmir House in Islamabad, today, to pay tributes to prominent martyred liberation leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi presided over the seminar while Pakistan Peoples Party leader Chaudhry Yasin was chief guest.
The speakers addressing the seminar said the struggle and sacrifices of Sheikh Abdul Aziz are a bright and unforgettable chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that the people of Kashmir would continue the mission of the martyred leader till securing the right to self-determination and for the purpose every kind of sacrifice will be offered.
Highlighting the sacrifices of Sheikh Abdul Aziz, they said that he was an honest and trustworthy leader who fought against the illegal occupation of India till his last breath. The best way to pay tributes to martyr Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other martyrs is to carry their mission to its logical end at any cost, they maintained
The speakers said the main purpose of abrogation of Article 370 is to convert the Muslim majority into a minority in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
They urged India to recognize the disputed status of the territory, fulfill the promises made to the international community and the Kashmiris, repeal the black laws in the occupied territory, release all illegally detained political detainees and give the Kashmiris their birthright to self-determination.
Besides others, opposition leader in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khawaja Farooq, former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Abdul Rashid Turabi, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Chaudhry Yasin, Azad Kashmir Minister Sardar Javed Ayub, Muslim League Vice President Dr Najeeb, APHC-AJK senior leader Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Altaf Hussain Wani, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, Ijaz Rahmani, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Raja Khadim Hussain, Hasan Al-Bana, Imtiaz Wani, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Zahid Ashraf, Zahid Safi, Zahid Mujtaba, Engineer Mushtaq Mehmood, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Ashraf Dar, Syed Gulshan, Adeel Mushtaq, Khan Afsar Khan, Najibullah Ghafoor, Raies Mir, Abdul Hameed Lone, Sanaullah Dar, Abdul Majeed Mir, Malik Ghulam Hasan, Khurshid Mir, Malik Aslam, Bashir Usmani, Ataullah, Abdul Rashid, Atiq-ul-Rasool, Shahzad Afsar Khan, Sardar Asim and Abuzar participated in the seminar.
