Indian cop dies in accidental rifle fire in Poonch
Jammu: An Indian policeman died when his service rifle accidentally went off in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the policeman, identified as Muhammad Asif, a resident of Surankote, was posted as a personal security officer to District Development Council member Sohail Malik, officials said.
The body of the policeman has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
