New Delhi: During last 10 years of BJP-led Modi Government India has witnessed certain rise in crime against women, particularly sexual violence all over country.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has reported an increase in crimes against women and sexual violence during last ten-year era of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The NCRB has reported that the number of crimes against women rose from 337,922 in 2014 to 371,503 in 2020. Mumbai experienced a 235% increase in rape cases from 2012 to 2021, the report stated, adding that over 400,000 cases of crimes against women were registered between 2020 and 2021.

The bureau’s data reveals that 86 women are sexually assaulted daily in India, with 29 cases of crimes against women reported every hour. Various incidents, including gang rapes and assaults on minors, have been reported across different states.

The judicial system’s weaknesses have led to many cases remaining unresolved, with numerous victims still awaiting justice. The situation has raised concerns about women’s safety and law enforcement effectiveness in the country.
