‘Gilani fought tirelessly till his last breath for Kashmir cause’
Paris: The President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum France, Mirza Asif Jaral has said that veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani fought tirelessly till his last breath for the freedom of occupied Jammu Kashmir and stood firm on his position like a rock.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirza Asif Jaral in a statement in Paris on the eve of martyrdom anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani, paying glowing tributes to him said he was a torchbearer for the leaders and workers struggling for freedom of Kashmir.
He said Syed Ali Gilani was jailed by the Indian government and tried to break him through various tactics but he proved to be a mountain of resistance in front of India.
Mirza Asif Jaral appealed to the Kashmiri people that even if they were forced to vote, they should not vote for the people of the rulers imposed on Kashmir.
He said the election drama is not a substitute for the UN referendum or the right to self-determination to be given to the Kashmiri people.
