Posters urge Kashmiris to pay tribute to Syed Ali Gilani at Hyderpora graveyard tomorrow
Srinagar: Posters have appeared across various areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling on people to visit the Hyderpora graveyard tomorrow, September 1, to pay tribute to the late Syed Ali Gilani, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader and symbol of resistance against occupation.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters emphasize that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will not be in vain and that their mission will be fulfilled at all costs. They highlight Syed Ali Gilani’s lifelong commitment to the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and his advocacy for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The posters also underscore that the legacy of Syed Ali Gilani and the sacrifices of the martyrs will be honored and their mission will continue. In addition to physical postings, these messages have been widely shared on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
It is to mention here that Syed Ali Gilani passed away under Indian custody on September 1, 2021, at his residence in Srinagar, where he had been under house arrest for over a decade.
