People block Sopore-Sumbal road, demanding action for drowned Boy
Srinagar: The residents of Gund-Jahangeer Hajin in the Bandipora district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) early Tuesday morning (today) have blocked the Sopore-Sumbal road and brought traffic to a standstill.
According to Kashmir Media Service, reports have revealed that the protesters, including both men and women, demanded immediate action from the district administration regarding the retrieval of the body of Sahil Rasheed, a minor boy who drowned two days ago in Nallah Ferozpora at Haritara Sopore on Sunday.
“We are very saddened and also frustrated,” said Abdul Majid of the locality. He said two days have passed, yet no serious efforts have been initiated to recover the body of our child.
He added, “We merely demand that the district administration deploy SDRF teams to trace and recover the body. This delay is causing us more grief.”
