Indian atrocities cannot force Kashmiris into submission: APHC
Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has stated that killings, arrests, torture, and other Indian atrocities cannot force the Kashmiris into submission, and they will continue their struggle until they achieve their UN-acknowledged right to self-determination.
APHC spokesman Adv Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, expressed serious concern over the killing of three young students by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Keeri area of Baramulla district and demanded a UN probe into the incident.
The statement condemned the continued house arrest of senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and illegal detentions of Hurriyet leadership and youths languishing in different jails and demanded their release.
Minhas said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are engaged in a just struggle for the exercise of their UN-pledged right to self-determination and will take it to its logical conclusion at all costs.
The APHC stated that the BJP and its proxies in IIOJK are attempting to equate the Kashmir freedom movement with the so-called election drama through their statements and concerted propaganda but will never succeed in their nefarious designs.
Minhas maintained that the BJP-led Indian government and its regime must remember that people struggling for freedom cannot be linked to terrorism and the so-called election drama.
He said the BJP regime will not be able to suppress the just struggle of the Kashmiri people by resorting to violent repression in IIOJK.
Minhas added that the international community must support the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle and fulfill its responsibilities regarding holding a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. KMS-7R
