APUM holds meeting in Jammu, demands restoration of statehood, special status
Jammu: An urgent meeting of All Parties United Morcha (APUM) was held, today, under the chairmanship of former member of parliament Sheikh Abdul Rehman.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in this meeting the activists, who shared their views on present scenario, were I D Khajuria, Manish Sawhney, Sahid Saleem Mir, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Narinder Khajuria,Com Subash Mehta, Sunny Kant and others.
It is unanimously resolved that it is high time for the citizens of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir that Democratic Secular Alliance defeated the communal forces by peaceful voting.
In the meeting it is resolved that APUM will fully cooperate with the Alliance government so that promises made in manifesto can be fulfilled in which statehood with dignity and special status is at the topmost.
APUM also rejected the theory of further division of Jammu Kashmir for which propaganda has been initiated by some communal forces and creating a wedge among diverse identities of the Jammu Kashmir.
