Properties of five more Kashmiris attached in IIOJK
Srinagar: The Narendra Modi-led Indian regime has attached the properties of five more civilians in Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police attached five residential houses and three vehicles, collectively valued at 4.3 crores rupees in Bijbehara area of the district under baseless charges.
Indian police officials said that police attached the residential houses of Reyaz Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, Subzar Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Shafi Dar, and Abdul Hamid Chopan.
Besides, police seized three vehicles, which include a car belonging to Mohammad Shafi Dar, Wagon owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo, and a Toyota Corolla registered to Rahul Singh of New Delhi.
Critics argue that property seizures in Kashmir have been increasingly used as a tool to target families without clear or substantiated evidence, raising concerns about the laws and powers.
Kashmiris see the attachment as part of a broader pattern of collective punishment affecting the local population. Many families in Kashmir have faced the confiscation of property without due process or transparent legal proceedings.
