Hurriyat condemns Israeli-style tactics in IIOJK, warns of apartheid crimes

Srinagar, January 09 (KMS): Hurriyat organizations have strongly condemned India’s adoption of Israeli settler-colonial tactics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the Modi regime is orchestrating land grabs, demographic changes, and apartheid-like policies to suppress the territory’s freedom movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a series of statements issued in Srinagar, Hurriyat organizations highlighted how India’s occupation of IIOJK increasingly mirrors Israel’s oppressive strategies in Palestine. They said India and Israel are coordinating their occupation agendas to fortify their respective illegal occupations.
“The Modi regime is blatantly following the Israeli playbook by grabbing land and properties under various pretexts to settle non-locals in IIOJK. This is a clear attempt to displace Kashmiris and alter the region’s demography,” said Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party said, “The land grabs in IIOJK reflect the Modi government’s colonial mindset, aiming to suppress the Kashmiri people by systematically depriving them of their land and resources, similar to Israel’s displacement of Palestinians.”
Other organizations also denounced India’s collaboration with Israel, calling it a dangerous alliance that threatens global stability and human rights. “The joint military agenda between India and Israel, along with their apartheid crimes against Muslims, poses a grave threat to peace and justice worldwide,” said Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League.
The party added, “The Modi government’s plan to change the demographic character of IIOJK is directly inspired by Israel’s model of occupation. These actions are part of a larger Hindutva-Zionist agenda aimed at erasing the Muslim identity of Kashmir and Palestine.”
The organizations pointed out that Modi’s policies emulate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approach to crushing the Palestinian freedom struggle. “The Modi regime’s actions in IIOJK, including property seizures and demographic manipulation, are a stark reflection of Israel’s apartheid policies in occupied Palestine.”
The parties urged the international community, including the United Nations and human rights organizations, to intervene and hold India accountable for its violations of international law in IIOJK. They warned that the silence of global powers would only embolden India and Israel to continue their oppressive tactics, escalating instability in both regions.
The organizations reiterated that Kashmiris remain resolute in their struggle for self-determination despite the Modi regime’s brutal tactics, vowing to resist India’s settler-colonial ambitions inspired by Israel’s occupation model.
