AJK PM seeks active role of Kashmiri diaspora in highlighting Kashmir dispute
Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has urged the Kashmiri diaspora, particularly in the United Kingdom, to play a proactive role in raising awareness about the plight of people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, while interacting with Kashmir-origin member of the British House of Lords, Lord Qurban Hussain, the premier called for efforts to expose India’s atrocities and advocate for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in international forums, including the British Parliament.
Anwar-ul-Haq also emphasized the need for greater cooperation on youth exchange programs and expanding technical networks, while drawing attention to ongoing human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
Regarding local development, the Prime Minister highlighted ongoing progress on key projects, including the development of an airport in Mirpur. A feasibility study for a domestic airport is underway.
