AJK observes Kashmiri Children’s Day to highlight plight of IIOJK children
Muzaffarabad,: Kashmiri Children’s Day is being observed today in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to draw the attention of the international community to the plight of children who have suffered due to Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, children across all cities and towns of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will hold rallies and organize various programs in solidarity with the children of the occupied territory.
Kashmiri Children’s Day is being observed under the special direction of the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, to raise awareness about the dire situation of children in IIOJK. In this regard, a formal circular was issued by the Services and General Administration Department of the AJK government on Thursday.
It is worth noting that over the past 36 years, Indian forces’ personnel have martyred more than 900 children during their acts of state terrorism in the occupied territory. Additionally, over 100,000 children have been orphaned, and many more have lost their eyesight due to the lethal pellet guns used by the occupation troops.
