Female lecturer in MP pleads with ABVP workers to stop harassment
Shajapur: Gayatri Singh, a female lecturer at Government Polytechnic College in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, broke down and pleaded with activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a right-wing Indian student organization affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, to stop harassing her after being accused of being strict during exams.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a viral video, Singh is seen apologizing to the ABVP members with folded hands in the college principal’s office, saying she was being harassed despite having no involvement with the group’s alleged disturbances.
“I am a lecturer in the electrical department. I am accused of saying ABVP students are spoiling the atmosphere of the college. The allegation is incorrect. I’m strict regarding the rules and regulations. Therefore, I’m being mentally harassed,” she said.
Singh further pointed out that the student who accused her was from the medical department.
