According to Kashmir Media Service, IIOJK Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will preside and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Indian forces have taken control of the venue, which has been restricted to the general public. Officials confirmed the sanitization of the stadium and its surrounding areas.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and cabinet ministers Javid Ahmad Dar, Sakina Itto, Satish Sharma, and Javed Rana are set to preside over Republic Day functions in districts such as Srinagar, Baramulla, Islamabad, Kathua, and Udhampur, respectively. In the remaining 14 districts, District Development Council (DDC) chairpersons will oversee celebrations at district headquarters.
Across the Jammu region, Indian police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel have ramped up checks on vehicles and pedestrians. Army checkpoints and mobile vehicle checks have been established at major intersections and city entry and exit points.
Enhanced vigilance is being maintained by the Indian Army, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, police, and Village Defence Guards (VDGs) along Line of Control (LoC), and sensitive hinterland areas in hilly and border districts.
