Non-local woman dies, husband injured in Bandipora fire accident

Srinagar: A non-woman lost her life while her husband suffered severe burn injuries in a fire incident in Bandipora district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a fire broke out in a room at the Beacon Headquarters in the Sonawari area of the district. The couple, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was severely burned. Both were immediately shifted to the Bandipora district hospital, where 30-year-old Anjani Devi was declared dead, while her husband, Parmanand, is reported to be in critical condition. The fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, a similar fire incident also occurred today in a hospital building in the Poonch district of IIOJK. Officials said that the fire erupted from one of the rooms of the old building and spread to other blocks. A team of fire tenders reached the spot and were trying to douse off the fire.
