Protest in Srinagar for regularization of Wildlife Department employees
Srinagar: In what indicating growing resentment against Modi-led Indian government’s anti-people policies in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, casual labourers of the Wildlife Department staged a protest in Srinagar, demanding the regularization of their jobs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the workers raised slogans urging authorities to address their long-pending demands.
The protesters lamented years of service without job security or fair wages, calling on the administration to grant them permanent employment. “We play a crucial role in protecting Kashmir’s wildlife, yet our own livelihoods remain uncertain,” one protester said. Frustrated by government inaction despite repeated appeals, they warned of intensifying their agitation if their demands were ignored.
