Indian national arrested with semi-automatic pistol in Nepal
Kathmandu: A 26-year-old Indian national, Dhananjay Kumar Jha from Bihar, was arrested by the Armed Police Force (APF) in Nepal.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrest took place at Lathmari in Ishnath Municipality, near the Nepal-India border, after a tip-off about suspicious activities involving three individuals at Sunil Hotel.
The APF seized a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition from Jha, while two other suspects fled the scene. This incident has raised concerns about a potential nexus between Indians and smugglers or terrorist groups.
The reasons behind Jha’s possession of a semi-automatic pistol are still unclear.
