NIA court issues proclamation against two IIOJK men in Jammu
Jammu: A special court under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has issued proclamation notices against two Kashmiri men from Islamabad district, directing them to appear within 30 days or face property attachment.
According to Kashmir Media Service, The accused, identified as Zaffar Hussain Butt alias Khursheed Alam and Ghulam Nabi alias Amir Khan, both residents of Liver, Srigufwara in Islamabad, are wanted in a so-called terror-related case registered at Kulgam Police Station.
They face charges under Sections 13, 16, 18, and 20 of the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and Section 7/27 of the Arms Act.
If they fail to surrender within the stipulated time, authorities will proceed with seizure of their properties as per legal provisions.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), NIA Jammu, has been directed to publicize the proclamation notices widely, including in newspapers—both local and national—and through public postings in their hometowns.
This move is part of an intensified crackdown on pro-freedom activists in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with the primary objective of seizing their properties under various pretexts. The occupation authorities believe that seizing properties will deter Kashmiris from pursuing their freedom struggle, and have already taken control of several assets belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami and other pro-freedom Kashmiris.
