Protest rally held in Muzaffarabad to mark Black Day

Muzaffarabad: A protest rally was held in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell and was attended by a large number of citizens, including Azad Kashmir’s Minister for Information Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah, Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir chapter Ghulam Muhammad Safi, as well as political and social figures of the Azad Kashmir.

Participants carried national and Kashmiri flags and chanted anti-India slogans and slogans in support of freedom.

Addressing the rally, speakers said that on 5 August 2019, India committed constitutional aggression and hatched a nefarious conspiracy to alter the demographic composition of occupied Kashmir. They said by revoking Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, India had proven itself to be an untrustworthy country and the worst enemy of human rights.

The speakers maintained that after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, India illegally issued domicile certificates to millions of Indian citizens and deprived hundreds of Kashmiris of their properties and government jobs.

They reiterated the demand to annul the Modi regime’s unilateral and illegal measures of 5 August 2019, as well as the biased and politically motivated decision of the Indian Supreme Court.

Participants also held a march on the occasion.
