Magnificent Overseas Kashmiris Convention Held in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad: A magnificent Overseas Kashmiris Convention was organized in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of Overseas Kashmiris from all over the world participated in the convention and termed this initiative by Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore to solve the problems of Overseas Kashmiris and provide them with investment opportunities in Azad Kashmir as historic.

The ceremony was also attended among others by Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam, Opposition Leader Shah Ghulam Qadir, Chairman of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, ministers, Chief Secretary Khushal Khan.

During the convention, panel group discussion and policy dialogue discussed in detail the development of Azad Kashmir, investment opportunities, and solutions to the problems of overseas Kashmiris.

The convention also announced important measures such as the establishment of a special separate court by the Azad Kashmir government for the convenience of overseas Kashmiris, the launch of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister web portal for quick redressal of grievances, and the establishment of a one-window operation to promote investment. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore inaugurated the web portal for redressal of grievances.

After the panel discussion, a comprehensive policy will be formulated in the light of the recommendations.

Several suggestions for investment in the IT, hydel power, tourism and mineral sectors were also presented in the convention.
