Pakistan extends airspace ban on Indian airlines until June 24

Islamabad : Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian-registered, owned, operated and leased aircraft from using its airspace until June 24.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a Notice to Airmen issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority said the restriction applies to all Indian commercial, military and private aircraft in both the Karachi and Lahore flight information regions.

The ban took effect on May 19 and will remain in place until 4:59 AM PKT on June 24. The restriction requires Indian operators to take longer alternative routes for international flights.
