Criminal case filed in Italian court against India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval
Milan: A criminal case has been filed in an Italian court against India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the case has been filed in a criminal court in the Milan city of Italy against India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on charges of preparing international conspiracies to assassinate Sikh leaders.
This high-profile legal action has come at a time when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to Italy to meet his Italian counterpart and Ajit Doval is also part of the Indian delegation.
This criminal case has been filed in the Milan court by Sikh activists Jagroop Singh and Gorpal Singh, who are active supporters of the Khalistan referendum.
The Sikh leaders maintain that Ajit Doval has personally supervised the extrajudicial killing of Sikh activists living in various Western countries and a terrorist network against them.
The text of the case includes other important complaints, including the murder of Hardeep Singh Najjar in Canada and conspiracies against Paramjit Singh Paniwar in the UK.
The petitioners, Jagroop Singh and Gorpal Singh, have taken the position that Ajit Doval himself targeted them inside Italy at the behest of Ajit Doval and A dangerous plan was prepared to end their lives.
Meanwhile, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, head of Sikhs for Justice and a key leader of the Khalistan movement globally, has reacted to this court action and said, “India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is using regular killing squads to silence Sikh leaders and opponents of the Modi government globally. We are mobilizing renowned teams of lawyers around the world to hold Ajit Doval accountable for his crimes under international law.”
According to political and diplomatic observers, the filing of a case in the European Court against the top security official who was part of Modi’s delegation during his visit to Italy has caused great embarrassment and a major diplomatic failure for New Delhi at the international level.
