Indian forces kill eight Naxalite rebels in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur: Indian forces have killed eight Naxal rebels in Bijapur district of the troubled Indian state of Chhattisgarh.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces killed the Naxal insurgents, demanding independence from India, during a clash in Pedia forest area of the district.

More than 1200 personnel of Indian forces participated in the operation.

Both men and women are included in the killed Naxal rebels.

Indian forces also killed six Naxal rebels in the same forest area on Tuesday.
