APHC-AJK delegation invites Tanzeem-e-Islami team to attend rally tomorrow

Lahore: A delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by Convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi, met with the team of Tanzeem-e-Islami at Quran Academy in Lahore to request their participation in a rally scheduled for tomorrow.

According to Kashmir Media Service, besides Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the APHC-AJK delegation included Engineer Mushtaq Mahmood, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Zahid Safi and Muhammad Shafi Dar.  Tanzeem-e-Islami was represented by Nazim-e-Aala Dr Syed Attaur Rahman Arif, Khusheed Anjum, Wasim Ahmed and Raza ul Haq.

After introductions, discussions focused on various aspects of the Kashmir dispute.

The APHC-AJK chapter is organizing a rally in Lahore tomorrow in connection with the Accession to Pakistan Day resolution. The event aims to demonstrate the unwavering support of the entire Pakistani nation for the people of Kashmir and to affirm that Kashmir is considered an integral part of Pakistan. The rally will also honor the sacrifices made by Kashmiris in their struggle for the right to self-determination. It was on 19th July, 1947, when the Kashmir leadership, represented by the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, passed a historic resolution seeking Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan.  This decision was based on the region’s religious, geographical, cultural, and economic ties to Pakistan, as well as the aspirations of the majority population of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, an APHC-AJK leaders, Advocate Parvez Shah and Sheikh Yaqoob, met with Dr Sajad Haider, President of Majlis-e-Quaid-e-Azam, in Lahore and discussed with him the prevailing situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The leaders emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had declared, “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan,” and highlighted the collective responsibility of the Pakistani people to liberate the territory from Indian occupation.

Dr. Sajad Haider expressed grave concern over systematic human rights violations in the occupied territory and the denial of the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir.

The leaders invited Dr. Haider to attend the rally on July 19, which will commence from Masjid-e-Shuhada and proceed to the Punjab Assembly.

Although the ailing president thanked the delegation for their visit, he regretted that his health would prevent him from attending the rally. However, he assured that all party workers would join the rally to show full solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
