Woman tied to tree and burnt alive in Tripura
Agartala: In a gruesome incident, a 55-year-old woman was tied to a tree and burnt alive in Tripura state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, identified as Minati Debnath, was tied to a tree and allegedly burnt alive by her sons and a daughter-in-law at Champaknagar in West Tripura district.
A police official said that the woman’s sons Ranabir Debnath and Biplab Debnath and the former’s wife were arrested and would be produced before a local court to seek their police custody for interrogation.
