Kashmiri freedom leader Wajahat Bashir passes away in Srinagar
Srinagar: Prominent Kashmiri freedom leader Wajahat Bashir Qureshi passed away in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, due to prolonged illness today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Wajahat Qureshi had dedicated his entire life to the Kashmir freedom movement and endured the hardships of imprisonment in various jails of India and the occupied territory.
Hurriyat leaders from occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have expressed their grief and sorrow over his death.
They in their separate statements in Srinagar and Islamabad prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss. They also expressed solidarity with the aggrieved family members.
