Indian forces intensify atrocities against unarmed Kashmiris: APHC-AJK
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned widespread arrests of innocent youths by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervez Shah and senior leaders Muhammad Farooq Rehmani and Mahmood Ahmed Saghar in their statements in Islamabad said that Indian forces have intensified their brutal operations in the occupied territory. They said the occupation forces are employing violent tactics to suppress the Kashmiri freedom struggle.
The leaders highlighted the violent cordon-and-search operations in various districts, including Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, and Doda, during which dozens of youths were arrested. They revealed that Indian troops invade homes during these operations, harassing residents, vandalizing property, and detaining innocent individuals arbitrarily.
The APHC-AJK leaders reiterated that India’s oppressive measures would never succeed in crushing the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom. They urged the international community to pressure India to cease its atrocities against the Kashmiri people and work towards a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
