PM AJK pays glorious tribute to Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas on his death anniversary
Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhary Anwarul Haq, has paid a glowing tribute to Kashmiri leader, Raees-ul-Ahrar Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas, on his death anniversary, stating that he was a strong advocate for the accession of Kashmir to Pakistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chaudhary Anwarul Haq, in a special message, said that the integrity of Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas’s character serves as an example for all political workers. He added that Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas was a leader of the entire Kashmiri nation who dedicated his life to the Kashmir freedom movement.
He further stated that Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas’s courageous struggle for the supremacy of the Pakistan Movement and his unwavering loyalty as a trusted companion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was undeniably a golden chapter in the history of both Kashmir and Pakistan. PM AJK noted that Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas’s deep affection for Pakistan is evident in his will, where he expressed his desire to be buried in Islamabad.
In addition to being a principled, dedicated, and visionary politician, Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas was a man of great humility and compassion for the nation. He guided the Muslim population of Kashmir in the right direction and provided them with a platform for their unforgettable struggle.
Prime Minister Chaudhary Anwarul Haq also added that Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas courageously and wisely opposed the ideologies of the Congress and Sheikh Abdullah. He not only played a key role in the settlement of Kashmiri refugees in Pakistan but also kept himself free from any form of personal gain or greed.
He concluded by stating that the best way to pay tribute to Raees-ul-Ahrar is to adopt his principles in our lives. Just as he fought for ideological freedom and demonstrated transparency in his actions as the Supreme Head of the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Refugee Rehabilitation Committee, we must strive to follow his example.
