Kashmiris await Just resolution of Kashmir dispute, expresses gratitude to Pakistan: Mirwaiz

Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has reaffirmed that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to struggle for a just and peaceful resolution of the long-standing, UN-recognized Kashmir dispute in line with their aspirations.

According to Kshmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day underscored that the prolonged conflict has led to systematic human rights violations, warranting urgent attention from the international community.

The APHC leader urged international human rights organizations and the United Nations Secretary-General to take cognizance of the situation and work towards ensuring justice and peace in the South Asian region.

Expressing gratitude to the people and Government of Pakistan for their steadfast political, diplomatic, and moral support, Mirwaiz said that such solidarity reinforces the determination of Kashmiris in their peaceful struggle for their inalienable rights. He emphasized the need for meaningful dialogue and engagement to address the Kashmir dispue as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
