Modi’s Kashmir remark an attempt to distort historic reality, says DFP

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has taken a strong exception to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Kashmir terming them an attempt to promote a fake narrative to mislead global community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal said that Indian premier’s interview with a US podcaster was full of controversies that belied ground realities in the region.
He said that Indian leadership was in the habit of making baseless propaganda to deflect world attention away from the real issue of Kashmir, which continued to reel under India’s belligerent military occupation since the past several decades.
Reiterating his party’s position on the issue of Kashmir, he said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory awaiting final settlement in line with the UNSC resolutions.
